ART FEATURED: PURE LIFE BY GREGORY SIFF
What makes art good? Who makes good art? In the scope of all things subjective, anything goes. That's why Los Angeles' ESOTERIC COLLECTION is making moves unlike well, anyone.
So what is it? Think, artist's support group. An idea curated by a couple art enthusiasts who wanted to help position artists to rise -without galleries. Described as a resource collective by art enthusiast and founder, Aaron Von Ossko, their mission is to assist artists in supporting their creative efforts by providing media outreach and career development services to connect artists with larger audiences.
They're the front runners of the “anti-gallery” concept, attempting to merge the gap between art and art lovers by removing the gallery and allowing artists to do what they do best - create.
Aaron has collaborated with various East and West Coast artists to curate an eclectic body of art. It's home to 50+ works, all derived by artists inspiring them to support and strengthen the art community. The collection has been featured by both Art Basel and the L.A. Art Show. I've decided to give you guys a peek inside the collection here.
